Having more than One Antivirus Program - BAD IDEA!

Most people do not know this, but having more than one antivirus program installed and working on your PC will slow it down and cause more viruses to infect your computer.

I’m currently scanning my computer with the internet’s best, free antivirus, AVAST! and decided to type this.

AVAST! Is my favorite free antivirus program, and one of the leading ever. When you use it with another antivirus program, let’s say Spybot Search and Destroy, you’ll have yourself a problem.

When you are using more than one antivirus program, the programs will fight each other for supremacy. This may seem hard to believe, but these programs are made to take control on your PC and protect it. I’m saying “take control” because that is what all antivirus programs basically do. With both of your antivirus programs fighting each other to take over, viruses can easily slip through under detection and remain undetected for months or until your computer is damaged.

So, in review, you should remove all of your antivirus programs, except for one. If you have a preloaded software that you cannot remove, just disable it. Windows is bad to have preloaded software that is impossible to remove... disable it. Keep preloaded firewalls up, that has nothing to do with this topic.

I recommend AVAST! Free Home Addition more than any other program.
